More problems at Cereus
The Cereus online poker network that were
responsible for the Ultimatebet and Absolute
poker scandal have revealed there are more
issues regarding their software. The news
came via Tokwiro's Chief operating officer
Paul Leggett, who wrote on his blog that
there had been an issue with the enryption
that Cereus use.
He stated that PTR had cracked their enryption
method and that they wished to replace the
encryption as soon as possible. The reason
that this was possible was highlighted by
the fact that Cereus use XOR enryption instead
of the industry standards SSL.
Whilst it is by no means a good thing that
issues still exist, many members of their
poker network will be happy that Leggett
was fast to be upfront and honest regarding
the matter that their full attention is going
into the issue.
