OnlineCasinos-Plus Blog More casinos each month increases risk. 29th August 2010 For those who keep a close eye on what happens within the gambling industry, it will be nothing new to know that there are too many online casinos as it is. What is perhaps more worrying, is that more and more are created on a monthly if not weekly basis. This would not be an issue if there was enough regulation involved but some casino licenses are dished out faster than hamburgers at a fast food restaurant. The more reputable online casinos have been around a while obviously have built up a respected portfoilio of loyal players. This not only makes it very difficult to attract players to new casinos but online casino reviews of these new casinos are perhaps flawed and not as in depth. Many potential players prefer to look for reviews from the public, those who have played there. Unfortunately it is a risk to just start playing at a new online casino that no one has heard of. Of course there are many forums where the latest gambling offering can be discussed but it still takes at least one person to "risk" what they have. Should it all go smoothly then great, but this does not guarantee that the casino will provide that same service on a long term basis. Casinos require a big portfolio of players to actually make money and the less players there are the less chance that those who win may be actually paid. More online casinos may mean much more choice but with more choice comes a greater element of risk and perhaps, more importantly, less quality. Winning casino systems are for losers. 29th July 2010 There are many that already know that so called winning systems do not work. If they did, all casinos and other gambling establishments would be closed. There does remain a group that do believe in these winning systems, possibly because they have never heard of them plus the reader is usually enthralled at the prospect of easy money. This is usually coupled with a sales pitch that is not only well written, but contains images and statements showing that the player has indeed won this amount of money and has got a system that works. Readers should ask themselves two questions when reading about winning systems. 1) Why has the casino not gone out of business and 2) Why would a player sell their plan? If everyone did it there would not be any money in the casino left to win! There will always be a select few that choose to try the easy way out and as always, to their cost, will discover there is no real winning system and will eventually lose more than they bargained for. As there are no systems that really work, players looking to join an online casino must be informed of the pitfalls. Gambling is a risk, always has been and always will be. Players are encouraged to read online casino reviews before deciding which one to join, it will be reading these reviews at a reputable casino review portal that will also advise them regarding winning systems, the flaws involved and why players will lose much more than money by choosing to use these systems instead of just understanding the luck involved in gambling. Personal Casino reviews the way forward. 19th July 2010 We have all been there. Just before booking your summer holiday you tend to look at the reviews of others who have been there to find out anything else before paying. The exact same goes for online casinos except you very rarely find those who have actually played at the casinos giving their own personal review of the place. This could be for a number of reasons, usualy a time issue as the players would rather play than actuallt write about their experiences. Many online casino portals are now different and offer online casino reviews from their own personal perspective. Whilst you could maybe rely on a select few of these casino portals there will always remain an element of websites that have simply made it up on the spot and are just offering their "rough idea" of what the actual casino is like. The best way forward if for online casino portals to actually allow players to post their own reviews on each site so that other viewers get an even better idea of what they could be looking at. This could include payment methods, how quickly the casino pays out and how good the casino games are. At the current time there are not many that supply decent casino reviews where the public also lend a hand although you can find certain comments on each casino at certain forums. Whilst this can be helpful it is not very organised or streamlined meaning viewers would have to look at other pages rather than just one for the info. Online Casinos Plus are requesting as many casino reviews from players as possible to ascertain what the public think and not just a personal opinion. _____________________________________________________ How to review an online casino. 10th July 2010 There are many and numerous casino review portals that persist in telling you how good an online casino is. They may be right but in most cases they are wrong. Why you may ask? Well the answer is simple, they have simply read another review on another website and simply spun what has already been written. The better review site will actually visit the online casino site themselves, the best review sites actually not only visit, but deposit and play as if they are a normal customer. When you actually join an online casino you get a first hand account of what ii is actually like and not what others will tell you what they think the casino is like. Quality reviews are based on real facts, how long does it take the player to sign up? How long will it take for any winnings to be paid back? Is it safe to deposit there? The list goes on but there are so many questions that need to be asked by the reviewer which others will probably want to ask before depositing any money there. A main concern is always the cashing out process. Many reviews can be found where the cashout information is either incorrect or worse still, non existent. This is a must for all online casino reviews. Players have a right to know when their money will be back in their account, those reviewing the casinos must not assume that the information is on the site, instead they should actively look for the information so that the potential players do not have to go searching through all the terms and conditions themselves. Although not exactly the same it can be somewhat familiar when reading holiday reviews. The last thing you would do is listen to someone that has not been to the specific destination but rather those that have been there, bought the t-shirt etc.. Gambling is a decision that should be made with a lot of forethought and research, simply going through the motions and joining the first online casino you come across is not a good idea, but then the possible players should have the right to be able to read accurate and up to date online casino reviews before making a decision. Unfortunately probably about 90% of reviews have been written with the writer having little or no experience in the actual field whatsoever, but that's another story. _____________________________________________________ Thanks but no thanks. 5th July 2010 Onlinecasinos-plus.co.uk is very young, a few weeks old at most. We are however starting to get personal reviews in, not many, but enough to give readers something to think about. This weekend though I received about 7 from the one anonymous player who's idea it was to completely attack an online casino. Personally I have absolutely no problems with it, BUT and it is a big BUT, visitors to our site do not want to read a string of swear words. One or two maybe but I simply cannot publish many of those words. If you are angry about an online casino that's fine but for the benefit of others maybe you, and maybe others should look into the wording of you reviews and not be too aggressive in your approach. If it has been "shit" to you then maybe use the words "ineffective" or "appalling". If customer support did not support you, don't call them c**ts! State that their "support leaves a lot to be desired" or "the service was very bad". Everyone wants to know the truth about how online casinos act, I do not want to only add appraising reviews, far from it, but I cannot add 100 word rants that do not prove anything except the writer may be a little upset. To those who have sent in reviews thus far however I thank you, to those who wish to send negativities regarding the online casinos at onlinecasinos-plus please take a few deep breaths and calm down before sending anything in, it will be much better for you and the readers in the long run if you provide a thorough review without the need to swear so much. _____________________________________________________ Not all online casinos are safe. 2nd July 2010 For those of you who may be looking to dabble into the world of online gambling I have looked to write this to warn you that not all online casinos are safe. In fact, the majority of online casinos are not what you would call safe havens at all and only a very small percentage of casinos are what you would really call somewhere safe to gamble. Obviously gambling carries its own risks but what could be worse than being on a winning streak to be told later on that the casino is going bankrupt, or that they are simply a cash cow milking as much as possible before disappearing into the underworld. Scary, but it is true. Thankfully there are many online casino portals that look to advise on which online casinos are actually reputable and which are not. There are however some casino portals that will ill-advise potential players with the wrong advice so it is important that you do as much homework first before deciding to deposit. Another important element of online gambling is reading reviews of the casinos you may wish to play on and by that I mean actual reviews by real players that have actually played there and not some quick, snappy knock up of an article that someone has been able to knock up in the matter of a few minutes. It is easy to say how great something is, it is difficult to actually join the casino, play there, lose some money and tell everyone your honest opinion. The fact of the matter is, is that many online casinos have been created purely to rip people off which is why the importance of high quality online casino reviews is of such importance. Knowing who to trust can be difficult, even when reading about certain casinos at reputable portals but the best piece of advice I can give is that you should go with the one that you have thoroughly looked at and by that I mean have read reviews at numerous other places and find out if you know anyone who has also played there. UK online casinos in particular are a much stronger choice because the regulation is that much more controlled than perhaps casinos that are licensed in areas such as Antigua. If you are looking for a safe online casino then it should take a good hour at least to make an informed choice. _____________________________________________________ Winning Sysytems do NOT exist. 1st July 2010 If there is anyone I feel sorry for it is those that come across websites where they are shown "apparent" winning systems. It could be that the reader shows too much naivity or not enough common sense and they are purely looking for an easy way to make some money but I feel it goes a bit deeper than that. Whilst those with common sense realise there is no such thing as a winning system there are those that believe they do exist. Why? Because there are those that try to drum in into their head by writing an overated and uninformative sales pitch that when the unsuspecting read, actually believe it to be true. Should the webmaster be blamed for providing bad advice? Yes - they know that what they are advising is for their benefit only and not the person reading their rubbish. No - they just want to make a living like everyone else, we have all purchased rubbish products in the past, a gambling system is no different. Those that decide to get involved in these systems do learn that it does not work but as they realise this there is a new batch of believers on the way to self destruction. The roulette system where you have to change bets between red and black on the roulette table is the most annoying and the one that pops up most often. These websites ask players to join an online casino they are advertising on their site. Once they have joined they have to continue placing money on either blck or red until they make money. Unfortunately the system is completely flawed as most online casinos will not allow you to bet more than a certain amount on a colour meaning after the ninth straight red or black in a row you get stuck and you cannot wager the amount the system asks. It's nasty really and personally I feel the search engines should do more to detain these types of websites as the reality is, is that it is a big con. It cannot be done so why should anyone allow them to advertise it being possible? A big part of the blame must go to the reader. There is no easy way to make money. If you really believe there is a system that will win you money all the time then casinos would not exist. If you find a system on the internet then don't just join up, carry on searching the internet for answers, hopefully you may find this blog and decide that systems are just like those that create them - absolute rubbish. _____________________________________________________ The next time you bet abroad be thankful for bookies like Ladbrokes. 24th June 2010 It is not often that you decide to bet abroad but having been in Germany for a brief visit I thought I would try my luck with a bit of football betting. Oddset is what they call it there. Very much like back home you are allowed to bet on certain sports and the outcome. You will however require a betting card. Not pre-paid but something that was apparently brought in to stop people getting addicted to it? How I have no idea as the card can be used as many times as you like. Anyway, this card, after filling out the paperwork takes two weeks to get there, as a Brit I was not going to be there long enough but I was interested in the system and asked some questions about it. You cannot bet €1.30 or €10.90 for example on any of the outcomes, all bets are already set by 1, 2.50, 5, 10 and so on. There are also certain games where you cannot place a double, IE 1 game can be bet on with others but another game can not be included in that bet. As an example you may want to bet on all United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal winning, no, not allowed, in fact some of them are so obviously set that you wonder why people bet using this Oddset altogether, but the worst is yet to come. Imagine you bet €5 on Manchester United winning a game. You may get a quote of €1.10 as United are always the favourites. (They do not do fractions over there by the way) From that €5 you also pay a 50 cents admin fee but this is not included in the bet so the total stake is €5 but you have already lost 50 cents. If United win the game what would you get back on the high street in Britain? €10.50 is the obvious answer. In Germany you would get €5.50 back AS THEY DON'T GIVE YOU THE STAKE BACK! How bad is that? So from the €5.50 you get back you only really keep the €5.00 as you have already spent 50 cents on admin. It gets even worse. Some odds are obviously odds on, now in the UK you would get your stake back so you would make a bit of money. In Germany if the odds are less than a Euro you will actually lose money even if you back a winner. Let's say we get a quote of 0.80 you bet a Euro and pay the 50 cents fee. If the result comes through you will get 80 cents back. That's 20 cents less your stake so by paying €1.50 and getting 80 cents back you actually lose 70 cents even though you won the bet! Come on Germany stop lagging behind and screwing those who want to flutter. Those that do bet with Oddset should do the maths and pull out as soon as possible. So many online bookmakers are now in foreign languages there is absolutely no excuse for wanting to chuck your money down the drain they call Oddset! _____________________________________________________ Which are the best online slots? 20th June 2010 It is best that we first define the word best where online slot machines are concerned. If you want best to mean which slot machine pays out the most often or the higher amount then you may be disappointed. Should you want best to mean the most entertaining then there are plenty of options available to you. For many the words best online slots could and maybe should be a mixture of the two, and there may be a few of them around. As with all forms of gambling there is always a risk, with online slots you will rarely find an online slot that will always leave you in profit, if ever at all. As for the entertainment factor you can assume that there are many online slots that are simply so similar to others that you wonder why the casinos even created them. You want an online slot that will provide you with a bonus game and the possibility of some free spins, you would also want the slot to give the freebies out relatively often, you certainly don't want to pay £100's to not get a crack at some of the bonuses on offer. All slot machines are however random so whether you get a bonus or not is purely luck of the draw. There are a few online slots that will entertain you and for a very low stake too, you may not win a life changing amount but you may walk away with a small profit. You do not have to wager big stakes to be entertained, some of the slots and fruit machines can be played for nothing more than 10p a spin and that's cheaper than most in your local pub! We have plenty of slots that we have reviewed and the majority are entertaining, some do include big jackpots but you will have to play at the maximum stake to have a chance of cracking it. _____________________________________________________ The bookmakers know less than we do! 20th June 2010 There was something about this World cup that almost seemed set up. Some of the results at World cups are normally full of surprises but the 2010 version came with many surprises. You could say it has been as random as some of the slots you find at RTG. The bookies will place their odds as they see fit, placing the teams that have done well before as favourites and making the minnows the tastier option for the result. I doubt that may will have backed Serbia to beat Germany, Switzerland to beat Spain and New Zealand to draw against Italy. But why not? At the end of the day it is eleven men against eleven and it looks as though the winners of the above games actually wanted it more than the others. Being a big European country with numerous stars is not enough anymore, despite the cheating, falling over, the inability to use the tv screens to make their decisions correct, it is now about the team, can they work together? In the case of some teams, packing it with stars is not enough and when you look at New Zealand who have created a team from a mixture of players and from a mixture of backgrounds this looks to be the way forward. Something that can be learned however is that you do not simply need to check the bookies betting prices before making a decision, go with the team that has heart, spirit and that work as a team. Do not back the best team on paper, that just doesn't work anymore! _____________________________________
