Online gambling in South Africa took a turn
for the worse this week when televised coverage
showed one player who had won numerous millions
of South African Rand was practically fobbed
off with numerous stories leading her to
almost open a bank account in Cyprus.
The problem first rose when the African Palace
Casino requested she open a bank account
in Cyprus where her winnings would then be
paid in installments. Online gambling is
illegal in South Africa although the company
was based abroad. The tv programme disclosed
the issues to gambling online and that African
Palace Casino is just another rogue not to
be played at.
